The Future is in Good Hands.

Sometimes I wish I could travel for living! Other times, not so much. But, a short getaway with wonderful people can rejuvenate you quickly. I got to spend a long weekend with a couple of really intelligent, funny and just fun to be around women.

The thing is, I really didn't know what to expect when the idea of this trip popped up. I thought we would go explore a location and enjoy a really laid back, slow paced atmosphere. But....well here's the story!

I decided to take my 22 year old niece on trip to commenorate her receiving her Bachelor's degree and heading off to wild blue yonder (actually Wyoming) to continue her education. She decided that Washington D.C. would be a great place to visit. While I agree with that, it's not where I expected a recent college graduate would choose to go.

Never the less, we went for four days and had an absolute blast! I have the smartest, most awesome, innovative, kindest and most interesting niece! Of course, I always knew this, but it was really evident to me during this trip. I have a renewed respect and belief in the next generation.

We hear so often the generalizations about the millennials. I can attest - they are not all the same. I see the values, integrity and work ethic of past generations exhibited in some individuals of this group. I also see a good thought process and the willingness to do the work.

This most definitely can be correlated to how they were raised. I know my family has instilled these traits and values as have most who have raised children in a rural or farming community.

Yes....The future is in good hands.
